danny boyle surely knows how to entertain me

I can only allow one twink-ish guy in my life. Since Michael Cera hasn’t come up with anything new that I could watch repeatedly on our state of the art DVD player made in China, I would have to look for his temporary replacement. My fabulous guardian angel must have sent a message to British filmmaker extraordinaire, Danny Boyle, to end my slight agony and created one of the best films of 2008, Slumdog Millionaire which a cute Indian boy by the name of Dev Patel is the lead character. If my unofficial BFF, Mikee is still crazy in-love with that vampire and his greasy hair, I can say that mine is way better than that dude.  How so way better? Well, aside from being an incredibly talented young actor (he has tons of awards to prove it) This 18  year-old lad from England was also a taekwondo bronze medalist. Nice.

So If you are planning not to get laid this weekend, I suggest you grab a pirated copy of this film and watch my new twinky-pop’s mad acting skills.

With all the hype surrounding this tween flick and my anticipation to see the pasty preternatural creatures of the underworld and the constant updates and info about the movie from female friends who acted as if they were in their pre-teens and still wearing training bras. The question that I am going to ask myself now is “Was it worth the wait?” Hmmm…actually, yeah. Well, a bit but the movie kinda sucked. If I were a thirteen year-old girl I would appreciate it more and say that it was the best movie since High School Musical 3.

Three things I really liked about the movie; The kick-ass soundtrack, the luscious physique of James and the enigmatic charm of Bella Swan.

Are you excited as I am?

It could be be the whole vampire theme and the magnificent beauty of Edward and the brawn features of Emmet that I am now freakishly obsessed with this saga.  I think I felt the same way during the mid ninetees when I was also hooked to Anne Rice’s Vampire Chronicles and incessantly daydream about Lestat and Armand (they immediately replaced Devon Sawa and Jonathan Taylor Thomas as the leading characters of my daily illussions during my 2nd Year Araling Panlipunan class).  And if you have noticed, everytime you are reading or even watching stories about vampires, you will surely have the feeling that you want to be an immortal creature just like them.

I hope it will have a simultaneous release here in the Philippines and the US (or maybe a few days earlier here) I just hate the feeling of anticipation for a movie you’ve been dying to watch and you’ll hear other people’s disparaging comments about it because they were lucky enough to have seen it first. It just ruins everything…grrr! Basta! I cannot effin’ wait!

We were in the mood to watch a tagalog flick last saturday. So right after work, instead of getting ourselves drunk, we opted for a more wholesome activity to do…that is to watch Ruffa Gutierrez and her fake conyotic accent irritate us to death.

There are only two reasons why you should consider wasting your P130 and a bucket of buttered pop corn on this movie; the presence of Miss Annabelle Rama  and JC de Vera’s man boobs pecs.

This movie might be a little too inconceivable like the anime version but I was genuinely entertained by this Japanese flick. wanna know why? Well, aside from it being a movie about tennis, major cuttie Shirota Yuu is in this shit…yes, mga bakla, gumagalaw si Shirota! [teenage girls 10-22 years old screaming]

The soon to be Mrs. Shirota Yuu was kind enough to lend me a pirated copy of The Prince of Tennis Live last month. You could check the synopsis here because this bitch is not in the mood for storytelling.

• There’s a certain period in your life that all you think about is getting yourself out of sobriety, let loose and consume almost every money that you have for that wonderful feeling of being drunk.

• If you are wondering what happened during my birthday, well, it was like any ordinary bad day except that few relatives dropped by and made it worst.

• Guga lost his final appearance at the French Open last sunday. I was truly saddened by the fact that I will no longer hear his “ooo-weee” while hitting a winning backhand.

• The only summer flick that I’ll probably watch this year would be SATC the movie. I’ll take Khonz with me since she would appreciate it more than anyone I know.

• I have this colleague who’s really, reaaallllly, cute. He’s like a white polar bear. I think I like him but I’m not gonna tell who it is… haha! ang arte ko, shet!

Slothful, that’s what I was last weekend. I spent most of it in bed either snoozing or watching TV… blah, blah, blah, what else is new. I always do this during my free time. I sometimes pity myself for having an abominable life. Grrr!

Anyway, I definitely had fun watching this fabulous French film last weekend. It stars Audrey Tautou and the super cute and hilarious Gad Elmaleh. He may not be evidently hawt in the poster above but he is in this movie, I swear.

It may be weird (or not at all) that I find all French Guys obscurely attractive. From tennis stars, football players, French actors even the newly elected president of France, Nicolas Sarkozy and the fictitious Victor Hugo’s main character in his book, Jean Valjean and the male pornstar who has the same name (I’m not sure if he is really french, though…hehe!)

Me and my fag-hags, part Australian Wilhe-mean-a Dansey and part Japanese, Akee de Castro are planning to enroll in a language school and take up French. We are just so damn bored with our weekends that we have to do something really meaningful before we kill ourselves. It would also be a good way to hook up with really cute guys.
